This parkland course is situated off the main Cork-Waterford road and is one of those courses where you are guaranteed to enjoy your morning/afternoon/evening on the golf course. It opened in 1969 and all 18 holes - it measures 5435 yards and plays to a par of 69 - are flanked by trees. In addition, the Ownacurragh river supplies water hazards at four holes around the turn. All in all, it's a real challenge and it's likely that you'll have used every club in the bag by the time you pick your ball out of the hole at the 18th. Clubs are available for hire from the pro shop and there's excellent restaurant and bar facilities.
